Does anyone know if this will be region free? I'd like to import to the U.S. if so.

I've been waiting for this to come out on blu-ray. Can't wait to see the extended cut.

I think the US version is supposed to be out around the same time to coincide with the Angels and Demons movie. Not sure if it will be extended version though. Didn't even know there was an extended version until now. I'd like to see that one too.

Play.com have The Da Vinci Code on pre order for the 5th of may.

I not seen the extended edition announced but since its sony releasing it in both the UK and germany I would assume its the same disk since usually one disk for most regions.

Since this would I would of though be a back catalog title now more and likely it will be region free. Most EU new sony titles I seen new have not been region coded. Only US ones.

I could be wrong though.

Does anyone know what is missing from the UK 'Extended Cut' of 149 minutes,
versus the 'Gift Set' of 174 minutes?
They both seem to have two discs though, that's what the description says.
What's even weirder, the US-version, not called "extended" or anything, is also 174 minutes.
So is the time for the 'Extended Cut' a mistake, or what's the deal?

Also, before I buy anything, should I perhaps wait for some sort of box/set for the TWO films together?
The second isn't even out, I know, but then I didn't even see the first... :P

Nothing is missing. The UK release includes the same extended 174-minute cut than all other releases.
