Default Who's buying Friday the 13th?

F13 gets released on Blu-Ray and DVD in a couple weeks. Standard def copies of the second and third (in 3d) films are being released as well. Both the second and the third are mastered in hidef, which means blu-rays are coming. They are probably waiting to see how the film does on Blu-ray. Hopefully it does well, because I desperately want part 2 in hidef and I would love part 3 in 3d and hidef.

Who's buying it?

This is one of those movies that I remember seeing when it first came out. I think if I bought it on blu..I would be disappointed now. I wont buy it just so I can have fond happy memories of seeing it in the theater ( or VHS way back when)....for if I watched it now, I would probably think its stupid.

i had the same line of thinking when i watched "Nightmare on Elm St" on BD, but wow was i surprised. it brought back that fear I felt when I was a kid and it looked outstanding on BD, the best it's ever looked

For those fans of the original, how do you feel about the remake coming out next month? The trailers look good.

I just watched Friday the 13th Part 3 last night on DVD and noticed the incredible amounts of blur and washouted texture throughout the movie. I can't even imagine how this will look on Blu...

Besides the 1st one, I'm assuming the rest are getting the re-master treatment, right?

I love Friday the 13th and I'll check out the remake. I do admire the fact that they gave Jason back his speed and agility like he had in part 2 and somewhat in 3-4. It makes him feel more dangerous and out of control. The hulking zombie Jason emphasized strength too much.

I am buying this on the third I would like to see the whole series on blu eventually(well Im not sure i would buy parts 8-10 unless it was a box set but then again if the price is right maybe) I also ordered His name was Jason and part 3. As for the remake I am looking forward to it the trailers look decent and I really liked the TCM remake(one of the few who did) and this is the same director so I am hoping it turns out decent.

Yes, first day buy for me! Great review on this site for the movie as well. Looking forward to the re-imaging of this as well. Love the old time slasher horror shows. Jason Rules !

Day one purchase for me. I also have the Blurays from the UK preordered the following week. The reviews of the DVDs have been positive stating the picture quality is improved (particularly part 3). I hope this applies to the imports!
