Default What band puts on the best show?

I just came back from seeing Metallica live at the allstate arena in Chicago today. I was the best show I have ever been to. They were completely kick ass. I love Metallica, what about you guys, who puts on the best show? Opening for them was a band called Sword and Machine F'n Head. It was bad ass!

I have been to sooo many good shows and classic acts, but I have to say Enter Shikari

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jq-CYmIWs2E

a band from the u.k.
they played at the crappy tiny grog shop in cleveland.
to a crowd of about one hundred some odd people, very intimate.
the energy in the room was just amazing, 2 hour set, awesome light show, immense sound, the things they did and had us do... just wow.

i could go on and on

hands down...
these guys put on the best show I have ever seen.
and I have seen the likes of Van Halen, Pearl Jam, Iron Maiden... etc.etc.

Rush gives a great show, and so does Rob Zombie. It's more then them just getting on stage and singing, Rush has a phenominal light show, and Rob Zombie has actors come on stage.

Queensryche also does a just stunning version of Operation Mindcrime with actors acting out the story of the CDs.

But best show I have seen was Van Halen, I saw them twice in one week on the 07 tour.

I was lucky enough to see James Brown 3 times. What a show, what a performer!

I might say Kiss in 1977.
(Bear in mind I was 8 at the time but still,.. it was a great show.)

Or, Pink Floyd anytime.

By far, the BEST show I've ever seen (repeatedly) was Aerosmith.

Best show i ever seen was tool in their pre warmup tour for 10k days that had like 10 very small venue shows. It was at the Orpheum in boston and at most they had 2,000 to 2,500 seats and was lucky as hell to get tickets. Hands down small venues are the best way to see your favorite band live.

Oh, I agree, I saw Iron Maiden with Blaze Bailey in a small club, it was insane! It felt more personal, and just so much more fun then a large arena.

According to my brother, The Flaming Lips. The lead singer crowd surfed in those giant inflatable balls.

Pink Floyd ? Dire Straits ? Jean Michel Jarre (This guy has made very spectacular shows in Paris though you probably don't know him). ?
