Default Home Theater Posters....

I wanted this thread for discussing posters and to show off posters from everyones Home Theater rooms.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

My idea around my growing small collection is that I want them to start up a conversation, show my personal taste, or to just look cool I can really care less about their worth or if they are orginals.

These are my posters that I own, Sucks Most of them arent even on blu-ray. In other posts I am going to show my wish list....

My Shogun Assiassin Poster.... I would rather have a Lone Wolf and Cub, but can't seem to find one.

True Romance.... One of my favorite movies.

House of Fools.... I didnt like this movie alot, but the Poster was cool as hell.

Good thread. I've been collecting(or trying at least) double-sided theatrical posters for nearly 10 years. In my new media room I'm building, I want to install 2 backlit poster marquees so I can finally display those suckers.

On the subject of double-sided posters, does anyone know when studios started making them that way? I'm noticing in the process of collecting that a lot(if not all) of the posters from the late 80's and earlier are single-sided and tend to be folded up instead of rolled.

My pride and joy is an original movie poster print of BRAZIL.
Pay'd big bucks for it @17 years ago and had it mounted.
Curious what it might be worth now?

I know a mounted poster might not be as valuable but it's in pristine shape.

Right now in my home theater I have both Batman and Batman returns posters... I also have a composite mini poster of the star wars original trilogy that was given at a movie theater I wnet to back in 1997 when the special edition was released...

Another one I have on a wall (though it does not count as a poster) is the piece of film from Schinlder's list from the collector's edition released some years ago on DVD... the little girl on the red dress...

I will try to upload some pics of my home theater soon...

Here's mine

and this one

The date on the bottom reads March 7th 1997, but the actual release date was actually pushed back by a week.

I like the small posters you have framed....I need to do something like that, for a back wall. I want to put up so many movies.

Anyone ever done anything with Movie Photos, I see them everywhere and they usually are the pic of the best scene in a movie. I was thinking of making some kind of collection of those as a display.

I found a Lone Wolf and Cub Poster!!!
Found it on Malaysia Ebay Cost me 35 bucks shipped, but well worth it.

Thanks, I have seen some stills while looking for posters, the Band of Brothers one I have isn't the poster I was looking for, but it sufficed. Was thinking about doing stills for the shelves behind my sofa, not sure though.

The Brazil poster probably is a pretty decent collector's item, but a lot of the others listed on that site can be had for much less.

well ya.... Retail price and private seller price I would figure would vary. that was just a 2 second google, but it is a price someone is selling them for.

I have mounted posters of the following...

Braveheart
Back To The Future
Moulin Rouge
Dead Poets Society
Shawshank Redemption
Superman (not a movie poster, but a blue poster with the red and yellow house of El logo)

You know what's funny? I come across this thread less than 12 hours after taking these posters out of storage from when I moved to Vancouver over 1 year ago!!! IT'S A SIGN!!! THEY NEED TO BE DISPLAYED IMMEDIATELY!
