Yamaha RX-V863 ugrade from 705? - Blu-ray Forum

I found a deal on a Yamaha RX-V863 for $599 brand new, I currently have an Onkyo 705. I was curious as to whether this would be an upgrade or just a parallel replacement. I hear Yamaha makes a pretty good receiver, but have never owned one personally. Thanks!

I haven't used the 705, but I love my 863.

Does the 863 have pre-outs or any different audio formats?
