Default Distant Past and Present Blu love, but no middle?

It is starting to bug me that the only things getting Blu releases are either new releases (which makes sense) and really old movies. Cinderella, Blade Runner, now we have announcements like Grease and the like.

Where are the movies in the middle? Where is Shawn of the Dead? Evolution? MIB 2? Charlies Angels 2? Etc. (I'm sure people might critizise the ones I listed but thats irrelevant I'm trying to make a point of time period.)

Obviously there are movies being released in all 3 time periods but far more in the extreme ends. There are more movies that I want in the middle. I have been converted, I now understand how film and such can benefit from Blu, so I'm more willing to buy older movies now, but still. I would much prefer stuff in the last 5-10 years. Not 20. I can't be the only one that feels this way can I?

I don't know. I guess its not that big of a deal. But I just don't understand the choices really. Why can't it be more spread out? Thoughts?
