1. Unplug any USB controllers (or anything that could be mistaken for a controller)
2. Switch off the PS3 using the power supply switch for a while.
3. Try reassigning one of the controllers to slot 1 in the XMB.

does anyone ever have the problem where if youre ps3 sits for a while and youre controllers turn off, they wont sync up no matter what you do? or if youre watching a movie for a while and your BD remote wont work or controller sync up? its very frustrating and i dont know how to fix it? its like the ps3 freezes cuz it wont eject or turn off or anything. the only way to fix it, that i have found, is to shut it off by the main power switch in the back.

thats odd...I think it happened to me once when I was downloading a game update...had to wait for it to finish the update before my controller would re-sync...not sure what kind of answer to give you though...maybe recharge your controller?
