Default New Mexico State's THX Cert. Theater

I'm at my Perspective's on film class screening of Stagecoach. A classic in early american westerns. But the THX certified theater is quite nice actually. It's the first time being in here. Since the audio tracking is mono, I can't really relate to the sound quality. There running a multi speaker setup. 24 Satellite speakers, Martin speakers. Obvious L/R and I don't know which brand is the center, prob Martin as well. Since the tracking is mono, the THX mixing puts it all the load on the center. It's clear considering the mix, and reaches to the back of theater without any issues were I am. The volume is around prob 70db right now...going for confort haha. Maybe 80db but no more than that really. Contrast is nice for a black and white presentations on a digital projector as one would expect in a THX cert theater. Open trus ceiling might take away from other sound mixes in later screenings such as Serenity and Pan's Labryinth. Other than that, I'm confortable and impressed . Just no reclining seats.
