That's nice!!! Next time I go to my Uncles, I need to take a pic of his wall. This was before Blu Ray, mind you. But he has an entire wall (not a small, decent size) full of movies, end to end, floor to ceiling. I am sure by now he has upped for Blu, since movies and "guys night out" is all he spends money on... But it's been years since I seen him.

I used to like having all of my DVD's out on display, but eventually it just got to be too much and was was taking up way too much space.

I put them all in some nice leather bound binders and used a movie cataloging software to keep track of it. 350+ DVD's contained and organized in an area of less than 3 sq. feet.

Makes the wife much happier.

I never found it, just the video on YouTube. I'm sure if you search on google and what not, you will find one.

Can't find anything like it? Impossible to search unless we know who makes it, or what actual words are used to describe it.....I've tried everything I can think of .....

I think I read in the comments section that it was a diy project. Which sucks cause now I can't buy one.

That DVD shelf is badass!

I've taken classes for manufacturing technology that dealt with specific applications such as this..I'm starting to think i might be able to rig something like that up myself...The design doesn't look too difficult... Just need some dimensions for the job and i'd be rolling!

I would imagine it's not too difficult if you have an experience in that kind of stuff. Same basic idea as those LCD/Plasmas that rise out of a chest/hutch, just with a DVD shelf instead. What would have been really impressive is if after the back half rose up, it came forward to make the DVDs easier to get at.

Then again, something like that would be much more complex to build and would probably have to be anchored in a wall so it didn't fall forward and tip over.

I think this is one of those things that would be cool the first couple of times you did it but after a while it would be annoying. It's not really practical. Every time I want one of the movies inside, I have to wait for the shelf to pop up? I don't have the patience. Yes, I probably have ADD
