A Nightmare on Elm Street Discussion Thread - Blu-ray Forum

Just got today the import of A Nightmare on Elm Street from Canada I guess, although I purchased it on ebay. I was amazed with the quality, one of the best transfers I have seen on the format. Those reviews online were not lying, it has such a superior quality. I am picky about quality and this one left me very impressed. I hope it get's released soon on the US so everyone can confirm how good my dear Freddy Krueger still looks.

The only thing that annoys me about the Canadian releases are the spines which have both the French and English spelling.

At least that's how Sin City was.

You think that's bad? You should see the spine of my Japanese BD import of Independence Day (not to mention the pop-up menus!).

Dusk Til Dawn is the same way, with the spine title. Doesnt bother me, Sin City and DTD stand out from the rest of my collection with the unique packaging.

Thats one of the reasons I want to wait to get NOES, FDTD when they get released in the US.

I'm really waiting on the sequel to Nightmare on Elm st. infact a whole HD box set containing all the sequels would make certain fans ecstatic.

Yeah i have Trainspotting and A Bridge To Far From Japan.

I have The Jackal from Germany where the the title is in German. The Machinist how ever is in English.

Yea, the spine with both languages sucks, but with the great PQ it has I think I will leave my picky obsessions forgetten for once.

well i see a few on ebay..one guy selling it for $59.99...he claims its discontinued..and I saw the one on amazon.ca...so is this puppy simply out of stock..or is it now out of print/discontinued
