Geek or not? - Blu-ray Forum

Would you consider yourself a geek or nerd or dork or whatever, or do you consider yourself pretty normal. I was just wondering what the majority of the people on this side considered themselves. I'm not a geek, I just enjoy movies. I'm not into the World of War craft, comicbook convention type of stuff. What are you?

I enjoy movies, but I also like video games.

I think if you use forums, you're kind of a geek. So if you're on here and don't admit it. What does that make you? A geek in denial.

You can be a cool geek - one who dresses well and carries his/herself with confidence.

Or

You can be a geek geek and not care what anyone thinks about you.

There are differences between being a nerd, a geek or a dork!

I disagree. If you were to ask my freind if they thought I was a geek or not they would say no. I'm on this site because I love movies. Does that make me a geek? No. But after seeing some people's HT's, some people look like geeks, not just a movie lover.

that's true. One may not look like a geek to be a geek though. However, if you go on forums and talk about blu-rays, you may be perceived as geekish.

Yeah, your right about that. But just cause your on this website doesn't mean your a geek.

I consider myself none of the above. I'm plenty assertive and self-confident, sometimes to a fault. I'm not an idiot like a dork, and I'm not a genius, like a nerd, and I'm not inept, like a geek. But, I'm not very social, I like to be alone, I play with birds, I like computers, I like movies, I like electronics, I have a master's degree in nuclear engineering, and I like good pizza. Just don't f with me.

That's me. I've always been a geek in different ways. It used to be that I went to a computer magnet school but didn't care much for video games. Then I started hating computers but still didn't like video games. I didn't do much than (SW forums). Then when I got into HD, my PS3 got me into video games. Yeah I was a little late to the game but I'm a nerd.

Im a geek, if i was smart i would be a nerd but im not, i like anime, video games and movies. I dont like going to conventions or do i like all that computer tech stuff, as long as it gets me on the internets im happy.

I dunno really. I love movies, TV, anything to do with Computers, not a big gamer, don't go to conventions or play those WoW games. I guess i'm in between.
