Default New Surrounds

man i am excited! I have just ordered a pair of Polk R50's from frys for $163 shipped and a Polk CS10 center (refurb) from Polk Direct for $80 Guess i will be listing my Sony SS-F6000's and my Sony SSCN-5000

I am currently using some insignia NS-B211 for surrounds and they do a good job but am thinking i might upgrade them as well! What rears would be a good compliment to my new fronts and center? any advice appreciated!

yeah it really was a good price, i would have been happy with it in regards to the sound quality but would have been worried that it might fall apart while in use

Nice job, Brett. I recently upgraded my older Sony SS-U6030 fronts to Polk T90e speakers, and now my 5.1 is all Polk (see my gallery - you'll love it). Love the sound as they are much closer in timbre now - the difference is noticeable and sweet. Take a look at Newegg.com for some really nice surround options from Polk. Anything left in the Monitor series (now discontinued) will work nicely as well as inexpensively, especially with reference to your CS10.

Personally, I have had direct dealings with Polk Audio over the years up to recently, and their staff is extremely helpful and supportive. You are buying into a strong company as well as a fine product which they stand behind completely.

the deal for the cs10? i got it on ebay. Polk direct has a store on ebay and they have buy it now and auction items! I won it during an auction for the $80! Just got lucky! I saw another one earlier that sold for $145. keep an eye on their ebay store and you might be able to score a good deal on one!

just got home, fedex left the cs10 on my doorstep but did not leave the r50's called them they will bring them by tomorrow! but wow what a difference the cs10 has made already!

There is a major difference between the cs10 and the Sony SSCN5000! Dialogue seems must clearer and bass response seems beter from the polk! cannot wait to get the others in now!
