Default EGM is finished.

This could be old news but it looks like EGM is no longer. They were getting kind of crappy towards the end. I remember issuse 10 years ago that were around 200 pages.

In the past two years the magazine had become nothing more than an Xbox 360 propaganda reader.

It is old news, but nobody like Toxa posted a link or anything official. The idiots at EGM (is it Future that printed them??) didn't even send out a notice to subscribers or retail outlets. I got my January issue, and never got the February. I figured that since I had once heard a rumor on here that they were done, that it was official. They were having major issues (no pun intended) with getting their subscribers their copies of the mag to begin with for the past year. I missed out on 6 months because of a problem between them and another company that kept telling them I had a subscription, but they kept losing the info. In short, I ended up getting 6 months of a 12 month paid (in a way) subscription, and nothing back for those other 6 months. Not even an offer to receive issues of a sister mag. I guess maybe their whole parent corporation is shutting down?

I agree with the comment about all the xbox spew that was coming out of them. They *never* reviewed any of their games on PS3, even if the PS3 version was better. However, if there was even ONE flaw in the PS3 version, they made sure they pointed it out. At least they were entertaining, though, and something to read while on break and lunch at work....

RIP xEGM

I remember starting with issue #1 when Mega Man was on the cover. That issue was small but I do remember it was actually quite large in it's hey day during the reign of the Super Nintendo. I recently got back into games and took a look at the mag and it was so skinny I chose other mags instead. It's sad to hear about this mag since I have such fond memories of its high quality.

Oh well. Next!

WTF!? That explains why I haven't been receiving anything in the past 2 months. I'm hoping to get a refund As I've paid for two years.

Yea i use to love those 200 page issues, i think it kept getting smaller because the internet kept getting bigger. now all there issues are like 70 pages.

Ok, so the Wolverine issue was the last? I thought they said there'd be one more. Oh, well...the only sub I have right now is Game Informer.

I have been getting it for almost a year for free. I don't remember the site, but someone found a link for a free year subscription and posted it on here - gotta love the community!

However, whenever I get a new episode, I feel like they are always reviewing games that have been out for a month or more. They sometimes have a decent article on a upcoming release, but the reviews were old and really just so-so. I wasn't going to pay to extend my free subscription, but you hate to see them go under completely.

Too bad their finished. Mags have lost their touch in gaming news in the last couple of years.
