Hitman won't Play on PS3

I've searched the forums about this issue and nothing comes up. I am definitely trying to play the feature film disk, not the digital copy.

When i try to watch Hitman, i get a Firmware not up-to-date warning. I have already upated my PS3 firmware to 2.6.

After trying many many times, I randomly got a "continue" button. It proceeded to the main menu. Upon watching the movie, it was choppy and messed up throughout.

Has anyone else had this issue / know how to resolve it?

seriously though, jumpy playback sounds like it might be a faulty disc. i did a quick google search and couldn't come up with anything commonly reported. any friends who have a bluray player you could test the disc out on? or is it too much of a hassle to return the disc for a replacement? if you can't do the former, the latter seems like best solution. i haven't come across any disc that hasn't worked on my ps3, so i'm guessing it's the movie itself, not the system.

Yeah what Sussudio said except for the part where Olga Kurylenko is topless I found Hitman to be a total waste of time.

After putting in and taking out the Disc 10+ times...it finally worked with no errors...I guess it is a faulty disc.

yikes hitman hate ! other then bhd this is the only other movie I've watched more then 3 times


you should try if you don't have many saved games doing a quick reformat or a total reformat

I peranlly thought this movie is awesome. And yes I own and watched it about 5 times now. of course I haen't had any problems with my PS3.

Hitman wasn't that bad.
They just casted the wrong guy to play Agent 47 and that sword fight he had with the other guys was dumb.
I heard that they originally had a gun fight scene between them all, but the changed it to a sword fight.

All the people that hate on hitman make me laugh. You wanna know a REALLY BAD video game that went to the big screen?

That is a good 1.5 hours of my life i will never get back...


While Hitman might not be an excellent movie, i enjoyed it very much. As others have stated i own the BD and have watched 3+ times.
