If you feel this is a hot deal (which I don't, but that doesn't matter much), you should post this in the Hot Deals section.

You may also want to include the price and location in the title of the thread and not say Blue-ray. There is a reason the site is Blu-ray.com and not Blue-ray.com afterall.

Sounds like another "temporary price cut" by Target. Were there any other titles marked down?

Maybe a little much, but I don't think I've ever really seen a nice way to point out that it's Blu-ray with no E. Most correction posts always comes off a bit snobbish on the internet IMO. Didn't mean to offend anyone though. It just has to be said eventually so I thought I would

It was also 4:30AM when I posted so I was likely a little cranky

Here's one:

"Hey man, thanks for the post and the info. Just to let you know, some people take it really seriously that the technology is called BLU-RAY, and not BLUE-RAY. Just a warning: I personally don't care because I'm not that anal, but it might detract from your substantive posts if you keep using it. Have a great day, friend, and tell your mother I said hello."

I just watched this again, it's been awhile but the picture and sound quality is amazing.

It looks better than some new releases

Looks good on my 65JS8500 4K TV

Funnily enough I just watched it the other day, myself. It's been a while since I've seen them. Such a great movie though, I've had the trilogy box set for YEARS.

Looks like I get to bump the thread too, why doesn't this movie have more discussion?

Yea, why no Official Thread for this classic movie?

I was just watching this BD and it still looks pretty good compared to newer movies.

There's a close-up on Depp where you can clearly see he's wearing Contact Lenses.

At the end of the movie, Elizabeth throws herself in front of Depp and Bloom.

There's a quick cut to a close-up of Depp mocking the soldiers and you can see it.

I don't know if he wears them for a prescription or they were to change his eye color.

You guys are gonna hate me for bumping this, but I wasn’t sure of where else to ask.

I have the DVD releases of the first three movies from one they first came out. Each one has two discs; the movie and a bonus features disc. I can’t check right now, but I wanted to post this while the thought popped into my head.

Were any bonus features lost when these went on Blu-ray? I wanna get rid of the DVDs but not if they’re missing any features. I would assume not.. but you never know lol.

I can't confirm, but I am pretty sure I had the same question when I upgraded to Blu-Ray and I am fairly certain that it's all the same.

I don't even think there's a box set of the five in the US. You can import one from the UK, but Disney didn't do it over here for whatever reason. I probably would've bought one.

Bump: How about 4K? I see no mention on the 'Releases' page for this film.

I have the first 4 on BD. When the 5th film came out (and I was then into buying 4K films), I thought "don't buy the 4K because there will be a box 4K for all 5 films".

But there's not even a box for BDs (and probably no more PotC films coming out).

Does Disney just not do boxes ... in the US?

Boxes aside, will they not release the first 4 films in 4K UHD?

Chris

Still waiting for news of a 4K release for the first three at least. As soon as I got my 4K player, they went onto the list.

I really hope they release all the movies in 4K. These are my favorite movies and the 1st one has a lot of grain in the Blu-ray version.

Me, too. I don't want the fifth movie to be the only one.
