Default Any sign of Wajda's 'Katyn' on Blu-ray (or even DVD)?

'Katyn' seems to have vanished into some kind of limbo. Does anyone know whether it's going to be released anywhere on Blu-ray (or DVD)?

You could buy the disc here:

Merlin are a very reputable Polish vendor. I would recommend that you wait a bit to see whether or not Artificial Eye will put a BD release for the UK (if they do it would be worth buying it for the extras alone as Katyn's story is fascinating).

Thanks for the advice. I think I will wait - it seems likely that such an acclaimed film should eventually be released on BD in the UK and/or the US. And I don't know whether that Polish BD would have English subtitles (my Polish is hardly up to deciphering the info on the Merlin website).

FWIW the Polish DVD was reviewed on DVD Times.

Good news, it has English subtitles.

Bad news, it's not OAR (2.35:1 has been cropped to 1.78:1)

Hmmm...I wonder whether the BD has been similarly cropped. Although the DVDTimes reviewer thought that the 1.78 framing actually looked more natural. It would be interesting to know how Wajda himself intended it to be shown on home video.
