Ticketmaster scalps their own tickets. This has been going on for a while now.

Ticketmaster is just horrible. Their prices on their website are nowhere near what you are actually going to pay. I bought tickets to a Patriots-Vikings game a couple years ago and while the price of the ticket was $75 the actual cost was almost $90. They throw in so many fees but they have a monopoly on most of the tickets so there's nothing you can do. I've read that they are probably going to merge with Live Nation (http://www.reuters.com/article/newsO...5130LN20090204) which will completely ruin the ticket business.

I had hope for Live Nation but now the two are trying to merge.

My girlfriend has never been to a live concert and would love to see a band like The Eagles or Springsteen or any of the numerous other major acts. In the past year I have tried several times to get tickets from Ticketmaster, to no avail. The best-to-medium seats are always sold out minutes after they become available and you have no choice but to locate tickets elsewhere at a further premium.

This whole concert-ticket availability thing is getting worse and something needs to be done about it. The artists need to step up to the plate (like Springsteen is doing) and demand that changes are implemented which allow the general public (their fans) fair access.

In my youth (60's-70's) I never had any problem getting tickets to see bands like Pink Floyd, Ten Years After, Santana, Sly & The Family Stone, Eric Clapton, Genesis, Three Dog Night, James Brown, Black Sabbath, etc. and it was a joy to experience them live. I feel sorry for today's fan who doesn't have that easy access.

Our legislators (both here in Canada and the U.S.) need to get involved, because it is a joke the way Ticketmaster is going about their business.

John

Im thankful enough that we just got a new arena in town a few years agao, that uses music today,A local Ticket handler and NOT ticketmaster. And I can just go to the arena to purchase tickets if I want and not pay $15-20 for fees and shipping.

we did it for the bruce tickets last week, becuase we did not want to get shut out on the internet of all the good seats

Boy How easy was that, only had to pay a $2 processing fee. and the $95 ticket charge. and got the ticket I wanted.

I havent had to use ticketmaster in years.

When I bought my tickets for this years wwe great american bash in philly, It was with Comcast tix, and the fees werent that bad either.

Ticketmasters is alot.

I though that ticketmaster was deemed a monopoly and had to split up or something like that.
