I am dealing with Amazon, or so I think, to order a TV from Italy. I am sorta wary about what is coming about of these conversations though, so has anyone ordered something from Amazon international? Amazon claims they have no section; howver, the auto confirmations are exactly the same. Also, this is from abcwholesale on amazon...they have thousands of feedback and all are good.

I also sent my inquiry to them via email through amazon, and they responded from that....which makes me think its legit.

I'm just a little leery as they require payment through moneygram. Then, i have to reply to an email with the confirmation number. then, amazon contacts the person saying they got the payment, and the seller then sends my TV...has anyone gone through this process before at all?

OK so not a big fan of the money gram...never heard of Amazon or one of their sellers going that route....so at least for me be very careful...

I would never, ever, send a moneygram for something I bought on the Internet. Amazon partner or not.

Did you find this deal by surfing Amazon, or did you receive an email (or click some promo link from another website)? This smells of scam, especially since the email was NOT from Amazon.

I found the TV surfing amazon. When i tried to order it, it said they would not ship to my locatoin. I then emailed them through amazon and hence this situation I am in.

While were at it though I would love if you could tell they guy you'll send him a check you got from your friend in Nigeria for the TV. Tell him to cash it and send you the overage amount back to you in cash, LOL

amazon.com itself is always a safe place to order from; it's the third party sellers you should be cautious of. i would suggest emailing amazon and inform them of the scam so they can deal with it accordingly.
