Downloadable PS2 System Data for PS3?

Says " PS2 system data allows playstation 2 software requiring hard disk installation to be played on PS3."

What does this mean?

I was hopeing that I would be able to play my SSX games on my PS3.. Bummer.

This and the memory card adaptor are basically a legacy from the 60gb PS3 days. Well that and the old 80gig.

Not sure what you mean both are a legacy. I have the motorstorm 80 gig. it freezes when I put in certain PS2 games.

I just mean its funny to see them now since all new PS3s have no backwards compatibility (well besides ps1 games).

I havent had any problems with PS2 games on my PS3. You say it freezes when you put in SSX?

Yeah, SSx tricky freezes everytime and SSX 3 wont even play.

That sucks, they play on my 60 gb fine. they need to release a ps3 game of SSX. They are the best!!!

Did you check with the compatability checker for your model of ps3?

Hey while we're on the topic, i was playing NFL 2k5 for PS2 and it says that if you have a HDD the replays will be saved and showed(instead of showing just stills) during the Halftime show, but the highlights are still being showed as stills, instead of showing the replay video. I have already installed the PS2 data too.

Tell it which ps3 you have type the game and it finds it out.

According to it 80gb, SSX 1 - 3 hangs on title.
According to it 80gb, SSX on tour hangs randomly.
According to it 80gb, no reported problems with SSX Tricky

If you are having problems with that title you should report it so they can update there compatability log.

Cool thanks. I submitted everthing there on all the SSX games and Mortal Kombat Armageddon.

Just one thing. Where do I check back often? By putting the games in my PS3 and see if they work or is there somewhere else?

Recheck the compatability checklist after every firmware update they update it when they fix something..
