Looks like, from the depiction, that you have a fairly large area to work worth. Perhaps offering the dimensions, in feet, of your room area(s) can be of assistance to those people who are really in the know here.
The couch on the right will obviously be the best viewing and listening position. The couch to the left will not gain much from the back-surround speakers, but I'm sure you realize that. Fortunately, there's not a lot of 7.1 channel releases at this time. Also, the sub in the back left, because it's placed at the corner, may give off a more "boomy" sound, but real-world testing may be needed to verify whether that is the case, and if you like the sound of it there or not. Is this the system layout your are locked into, due to unchangeable circumstances in your home? |

thanks for the response, yes i am stuck with this setup, had the tv mounted above the fire place. the couch in the middle will be the main seating area however tv is on an articulting mount and may want to sit in that area. is it possible to point to the left and right speakers towards the main seating area instead of battling with the wall. i have read and been told the sides should be right at or behind main seats. if i have to move the main couch further back then i would loose the left speaker because of the side wall. thanks again , i will get dimensions
