Default Blink-182 Are Back!

I'm sorry I just saw the announcement at the Grammy Awards.

They're releasing something this summer. HELL YES!

Sorry I just had to show my excitement!

Hmmm, they were gone? I guess I didn't quite miss them.

Come to think of it, I think they are one of the few bands that I haven't seen live that I wouldn't mind seeing. I kept expecting to catch them at one of the big summer concerts. Ah well, maybe one year.

Although I am glad to see them return, I wonder how this album will turn out. AVA and +44 are completely different than Blink. At the same time, I hope that AVA and +44 will continue (of the two, I like +44 better). Hopefully this album will be good.

I see the Expensive Taste group did nothing for Travis Barker.

WAIT WAIT!! is this confirmed?! LINK please! as for the +44 over AVA thing. I liked both, but neither one was BLINK.. +44 was too much pop and not enough punk, AVA was too emo and not enough punk. Combine the two and i';s peanut butter and chocolate meaning perfect.

The last BLINK cd was by far my favorite. I can def hear the direction that Blink was taking and I was loving it. So when AVA was announced I was excited. Pretty much thinking that it was just going to be more of the same but instead got BLINK without much of a rock vibe.

Not to contradict you, but I found the last Blink album more emo than any of their other cds. Granted, I liked the last album myself. Stockholm Syndrome is one of my favorite songs. Either way, I'm glad that Blink is back. And hopefully +44 and AVA continue to exist as well.

Not really a contradiction. I like elements of emo, and a lot of so called 'emo' bands but the ones I like the most have a lot more 'rock ' to their sound as opposed to pop.

I believe the last Blink CD was a perfect mix of punk/pop/emo or whatever you want to call it. I just feel the separate bands outside of Blink were too much of one and not enough of the other. I was really excited to see what Blink would become and was pretty bummed when they broke up.

i could never pick one album as my favorite, because they are all great. i grew up with blink, and hearing they were getting back together was great news, i cant wait to hear the next single they put out. i will be scouring the internets for any copy i can find of anything new. i think that a lot of stuff was pretty much completed when the broke up, they probably just have some fine tuning to do with the recordings and maybe do a few brand new songs

i cant find it at the moment, but i remember reading an interview with dave kennedy from AVA who said that they are still a band and will continue to work together, but that with tom getting back with blink, they all have an opportunity to work on other projects as well, i cant wait to see what comes out of all this

rock on

I love all the blink stuff as well but do know the last one was my favorite. What I loved about them is that you could hear a very natural progression with each new release.

as for the other projects, I liked them all along with LOVING the first AVA cd, and the Boxcar Racer CD as well. Part of why I was shocked when they initially announced the breakup. I didn't understand why they couldn't just keep being Blink while doing other projects like they had been. Guess just like any family, sometimes you just need to step back and catch your breath once in a while.

I look forward to anything from those guys no matter what band they are involved in

I think that plane crash has made Travis realize what he wants out of life...good news, I liked most of what they did...I might be too old for em now though...
