Unhappy Onkyo TX-SR705 problems! need help...

Somebody has experience that when turn up the volume knob, the receiver drops? Sometimes it's fine and sometimes not function. I set the volume control to Relative and when I go to turn up the volume (about -30), the receiver turn off.

The receiver work excellent for 6 months.
I send the equipment to the service center and don't find anything wrong. Just tell me that they make some dot-weld in the power supply. The receiver work fine a couple of days and turn back to the same problem.

I run the Audissey and do the respective settings again. What can I do?

Can somebody help me?

LOL, separated at birth? I can barely understand either post.

To answer your question, it sounds like the protection circuitry is kicking in and turning off the receiver. When you sent it in, was it for this issue? Who did you send it to?

Check your wiring, double-check your settings, and try playing it at a lower volume. If it doesn't cut out, you're either cranking it too loud or you've got something bad somewhere.

Disconnect all your speakers and crank the volume, if it blows it's one of 2 things, either your amp is blown or you have a short in one of your speakers.

That would do it.

My 705 shut itself down when it couldn't maintain sync with my Xbox 360 running through an HDMI switch.
