Default Chris Brown Turns Himself In for Alleged Criminal Threat

Quote:
Singer Chris Brown has turned himself in to Los Angeles Police in connection to a domestic violence felony criminal threat incident, Usmagazine.com has confirmed.

He was driven in a black Escalade Sunday and was lying down in the backseat, a source tells Us.

"He turned himself in around 7 p.m. to one of our stations and is being interviewed by detectives now," officer Karen Smith tells Us.

Brown, 19, was taken into custody at 6:30 p.m. and was booked for criminal threat at 7:41 p.m. He posted $50,000 bail and was released.

The case is being presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office; additional charges may be filed.

He is due in court March 5.

Brown is being investigated for an incident that occurred early Sunday morning near Hancock Park in L.A.

An unidentified woman phoned 911 and claimed she got into a fight with the singer and he attacked her.

Police say the woman had visible injuries. When officers arrived, they found the victim, but Brown had already left the scene, police say.

Both Brown and his girlfriend Rihanna pulled out of Sunday's Grammy Awards at the last minute.
So along with this news, everyone seems to think the 'woman' was Rihanna, but that has not been confirmed anywhere. The public, once again, blowing stuff out of proportion, just trying to cause more trouble for Brown.

Right, he couldn't have possibly done anything wrong.

I didn't say that, I'm just saying everyone is automatically assuming that the unidentified woman is Rihanna, which is just adding more fuel to the fire. He certainly is wrong for what he did, put people assuming it was someone that hasn't been confirmed is wrong, too.

Why else would one of the biggest modern recording acts today miss the Grammy Awards? It doesn't look good for Brown.

LA Times and TMZ are both reporting it's Rihanna, and they were photographed 30 minutes before the arrest together in the car where the incident occured, so it's fairly safe to say it was Rihanna. Add in the fact that she missed the Grammys where she was supposed to perform and the police report stated the victim had visible injuries and there's pretty solid reasoning that it's Rihanna.

Well, maybe now all these 14-17 year old girls can get out of the whole 'Chris Brown' stage.

Does it really matter who the "woman" is? He physically injured the woman, whoever she is, and fled the scene.

I'm not saying he's not guilty. He turned himself in, he probably is guilty. I'm saying the the woman has not been identified and everyone is just assuming it was Rihanna.

What a douche. How can any man even consider raising his hand against a woman?

Good another rapper heading for the jail. Bring on the next new wave and declare all this rap as dead as disco before 2010.

Chris Brown is not a rapper, he's an R & B artist, or hip-hop. And sorry, but rap is nowhere near dead. Top selling album of 2008 - Lil Wayne, rap. Top song on Itunes - Eminem featuring Dr. Dre and 50 Cent. Rap is not going to die.

Since Jay-Z runs the world, and Rihanna is his personal little star, I assume Chris Brown's career is over.

Don't forget P. Diddy/ P. Daddy or whatever his name is now. Thought he had to switch it back.
