I'm not sure if there is a single Dustin Hoffman movie that I really really like. However:

Movies I like him in (and like as movies) The Graduate, Straw Dogs, Hook, Dick Tracy.

Movies I like him in (but don't really like the movie) Rain Man, Tootsie.

I think Wag the Dog was his last good movie.

I will say I think he is a little overrated, because he's been around for a long time, but his most memorable roles (The Graduate, Tootsie) were a long time ago. But I think he is good enough to be remembered forever.

For what it's worth, my top 3 actors of all-time would be (in no particular order)

Jimmy Stewart
Robert Duvall
Charlie Chaplin
