Dragon's Lair on PS3

If any of you have this game for PS3, please let me know what you think of it.
I would especially like to hear from die-hard, hard-core fans of this game who pumped quarter after quarter into the arcade game back in 1982 or '83.
I would love to get this game -- having the new HD picture, and also having (or so they say) the most seamless game play over all past versions. It even has the original movement "beeps" (correct and incorrect) of the original arcade laserdisc classic.
But I've been hearing NOTHING BUT negative after negative comments about the PS3 version of DL. Everything from technical glitches to just all out *****ing about how it does NOT play even close to the original laserdisc game.
Also, does anyone know if you can use any PS3 controller (the SIXAXIS, fancy arcade sticks, etc.) to play DL on PS3 (PLEASE don't say you have to use the BD/DVD infra-red remote control only).
