Default Vanns.com Shipping is killing me!!

I ordered a Samsung 5940 on Friday of last week from vanns.com. They told me it would take 24-48 hours to process and ship. We are working on the 4th day and still nothing!! I called vanns, whom I ordered from before and was very pleased, but this time is killing me. They told me yesterday it had shipped, but no info showing or proving that. I called today and they said it is going to be shipped today. I was told I would have it Thurdsday of this week. I dont think that is going to happen. I really dont have anything else to rant about, I am just venting. Thanks for listening guys!! I just want my tv!!!! I will keep you posted.

On a bright side, there was a rep who was very cool and really tried to help. I know it does not come down to one person so there is no need to be upset at him, but the rep helped difuse the situation and was talking to me about the new line of Panny Blus that will be coming out. +1 for the rep.

That is a shame. I had a very good experience with Vann's when I ordered my TV.

Hope they ship it soon!

I had to type it in the browser to realize it wasn't the shoe company you guys were referring to. Seems like everyone's shipping is falling apart lately. I placed a 400$ amazon bluray order a few weeks ago to cover preorders for the next month. I'm still waiting on Zack and Miri and Clerks 2 to ship, and those were released over a week ago. It took them almost a week to get His Name Was Jason out the door too.

Vanns.com has very excellent customer service. I had an issue one time and they were so helpful and fixed everything asap. Did you have to pay for shipping? If so, maybe they could refund you some of the shipping charge or something.

Yes, everyone's shipping is going to crap. OMG don't get me started with Amazon! It took them two and half weeks to ship out Crank, The Bank Job, Pan's Labyrinth, Death Proof, Planet Terror, and Bullitt. And thanks to USPS, it ended up going through my city and into another texas city. Once USPS doubled back, and few calls to amazon, and a $15 dollar refund from them, I finally got my movies a little over a month later. Not a happy camper at all. But they're here now!

It was free shipping. I dont want to be a pain, but I really feel that they dropped the ball on this one. Maybe a discount on a new purchase?

I have ordered several things from them and they have a sterling reputation generally. Just be patient...

I get a phone call TODAY at 1pm from a delivery company. I called them back and they told me it was on the truck to be delivered today at 3!! Crazy, since vanns said it had or had not been shipped!! All is well. TV is home and the driver helped me carry it inside. I tipped him 20 for the help. Seemed like the right thing to do since he didnt have to, but was willing!!

I'm sure you're happy now as I was when I bought mine from Amazon last year.. The shipping was great. They contracted with a company called CEVA, and I had my set in 3 days. They are, however, irritating me with the length of time it is taking them to ship Blu Rays.

Just be glad you didn't go to WhiteVan dot com.

"Hey I got these awesome speakers left over from an install at your local multi-plex and I can't take them back to the warehouse or my boss will find out... I'll cut you a great deal on them."

(That's a joke.... I don't know if there is a real site called that but if so you go at your own risk.)
(ok... I went there and there's nothing to fear there just a shipping company.)
