Default 32" Sony KDL-32XBR6 - Flicker Issue

I bought the Sony KDL-32XBR6 a few weeks ago and finally got the Dish Network HD receiver for the bedroom.

Why do the HD channels sort of hiccup or flicker?

Is it because the TV is 1080p but not 120hz?

The HD receiver is set to the max 1080i and it is definitely a good picture, there is just a slight stutter or delay hiccup. It could become annoying...

My 40" Sony XBR LCD with 120 hz is just perfecr in the basement...

Any ideas? Thanks!

Thanks! I will run to Best Buy at lunch for a small USB storage device to transfer it to the TV. I will update this thread in a few hours...

I appreciate the help!

Went to Best Buy and bought the cheapest and smalled USB Flash Drive and applied the update to the TV.

It finished in about 5 minutes and was quite painless.

I think it might of helped... the problem channels in HD were TNT, TBS and WGN and they look much better and almost no hiccup/stutter.

I will give it more time after work, but I think it worked.

Any suggestions on Noise Reduction? Low, Medium or High?

Thanks again!
