Looks good, but seriously, has Hollywierd run out of original ideas? How many of these remakes are they going to keep throwing at us?

Unfortunately, not many people go to see the original fair. That's why the cycle continues. Best we can hope for is that the remakes are quality.

Are they remaking the '74 version or the '98 one.

I love the original, and he, Denzel and Travolta should do the story justice.

Loved all three, especially Man On Fire. Really wish they would release a blu-ray version of the originall Pelham 1 2 3 when this one comes to the theater.

Wish the brought in Clive Owen instead of Travolta. Just to give to stay in touch with the original a bit more.

The only good thing about this is they might actually release the original (starring Walter Matthau) on Blu to coincide with this release. It's one of the best films of the 70s and I can't wait to have it on Blu-ray

Pretty good trailer. But, it just seems like more of the same from Hollywood... I'm not really complaining too much though.

I grew up near Pelham parkway in the Bronx (went to PS8 as a kid), so the origional film has always had a special place in my heart. Interested to see this remake, more interested to see the origional on BR.

love the original and I see nothing wrong with trying to update the idea and captivate a new audience. here's to hoping it's good!

So after going to see Bruno and being pissed off about spending money on that POS I thought I couldn't go home without seeing something good. I grabbed a ticket to see Pelham.

Scott and Washington does not disappoint. There's plenty going on in this film. Scott is a master filmaker even if the overall premise of the movie is something we've seen before. He's great at creating tension and keeping it taught just enough to string you along from point A to B then to C.

There's subplots threaded into the movie that keeps you thinking. If you've seen it I'd love your opinion on Washington's
[Show spoiler]bribe plotline. Didn't he say he used the money to pay his kids college tuition? Then we learn that his kids are like 10 years old (when he's talking with his wife on the phone). I'm thinking he didn't take the bribe at all.
Thoughts?
