Just want to let the word out here that the blu-ray of Chocolate is out. If you are into films featuring incredible martial arts and found Ong Bak or Tom Yum Goong amazing, then Chocolate follows the trend (jaw-dropping stunts with silly storyline). This time, it's a female prodigy in the name of JeeJa Yanin under the same director of the two previous Tony Jaa movies.
Please support studios like Magnolia that buys Asian films without hacking the hell out of them (not like Weinstein that gets rights to great Asian movies, recuts them, then holds them out for years). Plus they also release great blurays as well (such as the Korean film The Host). Magnolia has just purchased the rights to Ong Bak 2 and I hope we get the same treatment as they've done with Chocolate & The Host. |
