Blu-Ray Scratch Factor?

Today I went to buy a Blu-Ray disc I've been looking at (last copy at the store). When I picked up the package, it made a noise. It was clear that the disc itself had dislodged from the spindle. I became paranoid that the moving around for however long likely scratched the disc, and that it would not be worth buying. After all, who wants a scratched up movie?

So Sunday I may pop back in. Will the movie work? What is the scratch factor for a Blu-Ray?
