I owned the initial barebones release, lent it out months ago but instead of pursuing to get it back I picked up the BD version. Seems like the special features are the same from the "Special Edition with Flair!" from DVD, so depends which DVD you have it might not be worth the upgrade, at least not immediately. The picture and sound is still great considering the source material, but I went on a movie-buying spree lately and like I said no longer have the DVD, so I upgraded.

Not for that price.
Catalog titles > $20 FTL. |

dont listen to that guy, he's just being cheap. As a HUGE fan of this movie, I went and upgraded to Blu when it came out.
Definitely worth the double dip. The picture is way superior to the SD-DVD, and surprisingly, even the sound in certain parts is very crisp (the Geto Boys music never sounded so great). You will not regret it. I, personally, was very impressed with the transfer. |

I use the same rule, especially for comedies. Plus, I love the best buy edition I bought a few years ago with all the pieces of flair (which I believe doesn't meet the minimum of 15) |

To each their own of course, but I hate seeing that philosophy posted. I haven't received my copy yet, but the PQ reviews here on this site were quite good, so I say, if you enjoy the movie and it's one you watch a lot, it's definitely worth the upgrade. |

The Blu-ray is twice as good. If you going to try and save ~$5 by waiting, well, sure, go for it. I could care less. The Blu-ray version of Office Space blows the SD DVD version out of the water. I've really been enjoying the Blu-ray and I have paid more for BD titles that didn't impress me as much as this one did.

I'm a bit disappointed that this isn't much different than the Special, with Flair, edition that was released a couple of years ago. Today is the 10th anniversary of this movie being released, and they could certainly have latched on to that and released a version with more extras than the previous releases, special case for the 10th anniversary, etc.
Instead, we get an upgraded version of an SDVD without any additional features. Yes, the upgraded PQ and AQ make it worth double-dipping once the price comes down, but it would have been a Day 1 buy for me if it had been released as a 10th Anniv. edition. Same with Boondock Saints, which could have been released as a 10th Anniv. edition on St. Patrick's Day, and probably would have sold more copies with a March 17th release than all of the copies that will be sold from Feb 10th-March 17th. |
