was Life Gamble released? (shaw bros.) - Blu-ray Forum

I pre-ordered Life Gamble from amazon and was supposed to get it a while ago, but now there are saying it will be sent end of march. Was it released?
I also pre-ordered street fighter 4 CE, which I know was released... but they won't even tell me when or if they will send it to me.

Awww I have been waiting on this one too. I see the price went up from 15.49 to 18.99 on amazon.

I'm waiting for it as well, but it doesn't look like it's going to be released.

Obviously BCI is out of business so no one really knows if they pressed these or not. I have seen reviews for the dvd version, so at least reviewer copies for the dvd got out.

The DVD is out to buy I've seen them in stores. It's a shame too cause Opium and the Kung Fu Master looked great.

Does amazon not know, or not care, if your orders will ever be released? I don't think I'll ever get my Street Fighter 4 Collectors Edition, or my copy of Ashes of Time on Blu-Ray, or of course Life Gamble.

I got f*cked with Street Fighter 4 as well, I had to get it at EBgames, I was worried that they wouldn't be getting in the CE's again.

They got pressed, i know a few people who have a copy...

Whether it got mass pressed or not is another story.

PQ is a 5/5 so hope it does finally get out...

i hope there is a huge case of them ready for amazon that just didnt get shipped out from hong kong. Hopefully Celestial Productions finds a better distro for all the Shaw classics on blu. My order got changed from a week after i ordered expec delivery date to a month later now "We'll notify you via e-mail when we have an estimated delivery date for this item. It will ship separately. You can cancel at any time." I hope i can get my kung fu loving hands on a copy one day

In fact all the BCI releases on Blu-ray are becoming scarcer. Unless they discover stock that have been warehoused, I would assume whatever is left at retailers is all that is left of the BCI BD's.

Sign up to be notified when this item becomes available. Is the current status for Life Gamble, but can be ordered in a Region 3 version with English sub-titles, which is awesome! I've found that the US releases with English dubbed in are kind of hockey.

One thing we could do is write the US Distributor, Chris Henrich, <CHenrich@image-entertainment.com> and ask them to please ask Celestial Pictures to release the Shaw Brothers films to Blu-ray. If enough demand is generated they may start producing these sooner.
