looking to buy either denon 1090/789 or yamaha 663.any thoughts

if your thinking of ever hooking up an external amp down the road, then go Yamaha, otherwise I would go Denon.

Neither, if your not getting the top of the line Denon (3808/2809CI) or Yamaha (RX-V3900/RX-V1900 then get an Onkyo TX-SR706/805.

Yamaha for movies

Denon for music
