Default Samsung 2550 vs. LG BD300

I'm looking for opinions on the two models listed in the title. I recently picked up the samsung 2550 but noticed the LG has been adding features like youtube streaming and photo streaming from a local pc. Those seem like features that would be nice to have.
From reading threads on this forum it seems like the 2550 is a little better quality from a hardware standpoint, for example DTS HD decoding. And I've read an article that the 300 has problems with 1080i movies, glitches or can't play, not sure. I'll try to post a link to the article. But the 300 has a few more features. So before I return the 2550 and replace it with the 300, what are some opinions on the 2 players. Should I go for the one with slightly better features (300) over the better hardware (2550)? Or the other way around?
Secondly, I've posted on a Samsung monitored forum if they have plans to update the 2550 with additional features like the 300 and received a 'no comment' response. What has been the experience here? Is it unlikely or likely Samsung will update the player with new features? I'd like to see them make it work with PlayOn, Hulu, Youtube, photo viewing, etc. Maybe the player can be hacked to work with these?
Thanks in advance.
