Default Samsung BD-P2550 wireless

Hey all,

I know there are several topics all over regarding this but I can not seem to figure this out. I am trying to set my player up to my wireless internet. However, I can not get a connection. I have tried everything including lowering my wireless security to WEP 64. Any help would be appreciated. Here is what I am using.

AT&T 2Wire router and Linksys WAP54G Access Point.

I haven't actually tried a wireless connection for this as I don't like the issues encountered with dropped signals and connections.

I do have Uverse though. Have you configured the 2wire to see the WAP? You need to set up a wireless network on the two wire first. Once that is done, you need to manually assign an IP address for the WAP in the BD-P2500. Try refreshing the 2wire to see if it recognizes the WAP automatically too.

We need more information about how your home network is configured to diagnose this problem.

http://support.2wire.com/

Here's the 2wire manual that att won't hand over to you when they do the installation because they love it when you are dependent on their CS.

You can poke around here too for more information about your 2wire.

There was another forum called www.uverseusers.com that I visited for a while after having it installed. It doesn't appear today when I tried to go there. Either their site is down right now or at&t didn't like some of the cracks and stuff posted on there so they sued 'em and shut them down. Just speculation as I don't really know.

Here is a little more info.

The wireless is enabled on the 2wire. It has an IP of 192.168.1.254. I was using WPA encryption but changed to 64 bit WEP because I read that some people were having issues.

The router sees the WAP. I have assigned an IP of 192.168.1.245 to the WAP. I have set it up in AP mode and Client mode.

Now here is the confusing part. When I set the WAP up with a gateway of 192.168.1.1, the light on the front goes white like it is working. However, when I change the gateway to the correct IP (254) it goes orange again.

Let me know if you need any more information.

Thanks Sammy
