Default help with TV stand what do you think?

we are looking at getting a new tv stand this weekend. what do you think of this one.
it would hold all of the A/V components and center the samsung between the speakers.
there would only be around 5 inchs on each side of the stand and the speakers.

please help can get it for $325

Try your local Costco (if there's one nearby)...you'll get this type of unit for well under $300...

Question Measure Carefully before you buy

I can't tell if it's press-board, plastic or both. Anyway, it does seem kind of pricey for what it is. If it was me, I'd get me a dozen cinder blocks and some boards from Home Depot and save up for an actual piece of furniture that is worthy of the 9K you invested in hardware. But that's just me. Mine is solid maple. Check this site.

They aren't cheap, but they are well-built. I can lift the stand with the TV and all the components in it! So I can move it away from the wall to change wires or whatever without unloading it.

Just measure very carefully before you buy any stand. Appearances can be deceiving.
Oh, and check out my HT Gallery to see my stand.

I'm not a fan of that type of stand..... I'd wall mount the T.V. and buy a component rack.... much more "classy" in my opinion (for lack of a better word) Otherwise, if you have to have a stand for it..... I agree with the wood/glass stands.... don't go for something from best-buy... find a furniture store.

it's glass and steel and I would like to mount the tv up some but not on the wall it is a townhouse. so cant put more holes in the walls then I have. $1,000+ is a little much for a stand without a mount to me. and may not fit eveything I have. but yours looks very nice. the one I have now was only $120. thanks to all for the replys.
will put new PIC's up when I get a new stand

I did have one that had glass shelves supported by metal frames. I later replaced it with a wood staned with cabinet. Looks much nicer and better support.
