Default Coolest Keyboard Ever

http://www.engadget.com/2009/03/03/h...-eee-keyboard/

Quote:
Remember that Eee Keyboard that was announced during CES? ASUS did itself proud by bringing a few to CeBIT this year, and we were able to swing by and take a look. The 5-inch, 800 x 480 touchpad was looking mighty fine, and the Atom N270 within seemed plenty powerful. It's a touch hard to believe that ASUS was able to shove a 16GB SSD, 1GB of RAM, WiFi and Bluetooth modules, VGA / HDMI ouputs and a few USB 2.0 ports within a slim, elegant keyboard, but somehow or another it did. Oh, and the actual typing experience wasn't bad from the few moments we spent practicing this here post.

this thing is awesome. can't imagine how much this thing will cost

There's better and nicer keyboards that use the OLED technology for the keys. Chris Prillo has one, to lazy to google it. Plus I have used some nice affordable keyboards. That in my book, I would rather have.

Asus CEO Jerry Shen says they're working on two models, one wired and one wireless. The wired version will run about $400 while the wireless should run somewhere south of $600.

The keyboard is packing a 5-inch built-in display, a 1.6 GHz Atom processor, 1 GB of RAM, 16/32 GB SSD, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. As far as ports, it's got wireless HDMI, 2 USB 2.0, VGA, HDMI, and audio in/out.
thats a lot cheaper than i expected. this thing rules

I still prefer Das Keyboard, especially the blank black one!

This one looks nice, but I just don't see much need for the touchpad on it myself.

Coolest Keyboardist Ever

What exactly is the purpose of the screen on the side? It seems rather small, but I guess you can browse all the NSFW threads, and then hide it with your forearm when someone walks by.

My music Library is about 50 GB's... No I am not hating because it's not a Mac. I can care less, only reason I own a Mac. Is that I have the Adobe CS3 suit, got it through the school for cheap. But I still prefer windows. But I would buy the Asus EEE PC before this. Then consider building a desktop... IDK, just don't see the point in this.

It's kind of cool. But I'd still prefer my system; a PC(two 500gig HD's with a good video and sound card) with a wireless keyboard and air mouse. Eventually I'll get around to putting it all in a proper case, that beige tower sticks out like a sore thumb.
