Default Blu-ray player as Thin Client

Wouldn't it be great to use a stand-alone Blu-ray player as a thin client? Do you know of any players that support this, or if there are BD-java code to enable it?

I'm planning a major upgrade of my home electronics. I alrerady have a 1080p display, and would like to get both Blu-ray playback and PC functionality on it. The PC functionality I want on the TV is web browsing, document editing and media playback. A terminal on the TV side would be sufficient for most of that. I'm planning to have a PC server in the next room anyway.

I have considered building a TV PC from scratch with a BD drive. But I'd prefer a stand-alone Blu-ray player. I've been thinking about buying a thin client with DVI/HDMI output to connect to the TV. But having that built into the Blu-ray player would be much better.

Cheers,
Borge
