i have the LN40A550 and i gotta say its an amazing TV, one of the best non-120hz ones. For 1099 you dont get much better of a deal on a 46" LCD.

+2. Even though I have the 650, I've seen the 550, and considering its a 60hz set, the PQ is still very impressive and for that price, it can't be beat.

You should also consider THIS Panasonic plasma if you are not dead set on LCD. Also look HERE for the 85u for the same price with free UPS shipping. This one has a slightly better contrast ratio. These are probably the best TV's you will find in that price range. If you live near a 6ave they are offering THIS...the same as the first I suggested for $897.94 in store only. That's an incredible price and I promise you won't find a better 1080p TV for that price.

Nevermind the 6ave store pick up. I just noticed you're in Buffalo. The other two options I suggested are still $1200 or less.

I have the 46V4100 and even though its 60hz it is an excellent 46inch HD. You cant go wrong with it.

Either the Sony V model or the Sammy 550 would be an excellent choice for a 60 hz set. I really do not think you can go wrong with either set. Good luck!!

I have the 40A530. For what I paid since I got it opened box purchase I am truly satisfied. I'll get a bigger display down the road but the deal was too good to pass up.
