Default Improved Optical Block over the SXRD A2000 Model?

Hi,
I just wanted to get some feedback from any SXRD owners (particularly with the A2000 series) who had their optical block replaced. I have the A2000 model (50inch) and just had the block replaced after complaining about bluish haze along the outer edges of the screen and a bluish rectangular halo in the middle of the screen.

The optical block definitely fixed the issue, and I find the images look better, especially dark scenes which use to have more pixelation/artifacts. Also before I had the block replaced, my panny 1080i upconverter dvd player did a horrible job the dark images. Again, there was alot of pixelation or halos around images. I played a specific scene from Dreamgirls that I knew had horrible images and bam, no longer a problem with the new block installed! I know Im not seeing things or dreaming this, but does anyone have any opinions or knowledge about the newer optical blocks? The new one they installed definitely looked bigger and beefier. Anyone see improvements with the new optical blocks?
