United Kingdom First Blood US vs. First Blood UK

Can anybody shed some light on this? Is the UK better than the US technically?

Would love to watch some screen grabs or anything

ok. go for the us blu-ray edition.. the uk version has only got an interview. the us disc however has as follows: dts hd audio, audio commentary by sly stallone, audio commentary with writer david morrell, advanced triva pop up track, and drawing first blood.. also the us blu-ray disc is region free so it can play in uk bd players bonus.... the only thing i like about the uk disc is that it has the orginal cover art... so go for the us disc......

Here you go :
I believe all European releases of this title to be identical, the master is controled by France-based Studiocanal and marketed in other European countries by the local distributor (Optimum, Kinowelt, Universal,...).

I have the UK version. I tried playing it on my PS3 and a listing of countries appeared (this happens with some imports). I pick United Kingdom and a video cannot display error came up. I tried mexico and it played but with forced spanish subs. Has anyone else had this problem?

Not with this movie but with the UK version of Total Recall. I had to pick Australia to get it to play without forced subtitles.

Quick question for anyone. I received First Blood (UK Optimum release) today, and I am unable to get the sole bonus feature ('Interview with Sly') to play. I click it and it does nothing. I can click and have the A/V Configuration test samples work, and the movie plays, but the interview is a no-go. Is that a PAL extra? I am in the US and I'm using a PS3. I do not get any error messages about wrong format or anything. Clicking that bonus feature just doesn't work. Help?

Bought and watched 'First Blood' a few days ago and I really can't understand where some of the rubbish reviews have come from. PQ is fantastic!!! Picture is clean, crisp and with great colours.

£5.29 well spent.

There was a thread on here a while ago where a member posted up screenshot comparisons, from what I remember the Uk ones looked a little better than the Uk.

I'll see if I can find it

Different frame rate at a guess. You can always check the BBFC website to see if any cuts were made to the Uk releases

Rambo III was the only one ever cut, as far as I'm aware.

No new info is available regarding that title, as per yet, but then the BBFC site isn't always 100% up to date, regarding newly submitted HD versions.
