Which Blu-ray case design do you prefer?
(case with safety lock and engraved Blu-ray logo, etc.) I find the corners on the rounder cases break easily. |

i hate the safety locks! none of them close properly after they have been opened the first time! i don;t actually keep any of my blus in their cases though as i have them in a 600 cd holder with locks on it, so that my kids cannot get to them

I like the slimline cases that the box sets are using for example Batman Anthology or Matrix Trilogy. I don't care about the digital copy stuff. I'd like to see just the movie released in a slimline. Use a bd-100 and get it all on one disc. Storage is getting to be a problem....

The cases with the "safety locks" can be resolved by pressing the safety lock into the case. They will click into place and stay put, never bothering you again.
I don't mind either case, so long as they are the same size and blue in colour. |

Yep, standard sized cases, with engraved logos and locks get my vote. I even went so far as to buy 50 (or 100, I forget now) of those cases from Sleeve City so that most of BDs had the same case. Yes, I know I'm anal! My wife tells me all the time! :-)

Target has some buildable pantries that I use, they hold 160+ DVDs and blu-rays each and still have room above the movies for miscellaneous items. I used to keep them out on display shelves but people take them and don't bring them back so I lock them up. Used to do that CD book thing but those scratch movies and I pay way too much for my blu-rays to do that to them.

I've had so many problems with Elites breaking on me. The corners and the hub that holds the disc. My copy of Juno was so badly damaged inside that the digital copy disc was floating loose inside. It hadn't jumped off the hub though... the hub was just completely destroyed before I even opened it.
If I could have the production quality of the locked ones, without having the lock on there, that would probably be my favorite. And yes, I know they can be pushed in and snapped in place, but I really hate the way it looks to be honest. |
