No Fifth "Lethal Weapon" It Seems - Blu-ray Forum

"Lethal Weapon" screenwriter Shane Black has apparently indicated that despite his work on a fifth film's script, it's likely another "Lethal Weapon" film will not happen.

Moviehole talked with a source who agreed, saying "that one is as good as dead. It won't happen. Which is a pity" and added that Black's screenplay was "fabulous. A much better send off than [Number 4]."

The killing blow was likely the quote from series helmer Richard Donner who said in October that "Mel [Gibson] turned it down. I would like to think that Mel turned it down because I wasn't involved. Knowing Mel, I would like to think that."

It's been what now, 12 years since the last one? Danny Glover is in his 70's, Mel is reaching his 60's...just let it die. Of course hold your breath for the reboot in about 2 or 3 years

They are not that old, Glover is 62 and Gibson is 53, I'm sure they could another one if they wanted to.

Well if Harrison Ford can get back and do Indiana Jones these two clowns could do another Lethal Weapon.....now would it be any good??????

I heard that too. Don't worrk I am sure they will reboot the series soon with Zac Efron and Nick Cannon....

I actually met Danny Glover while in Montreal last August and although he looks in great shape, age seems to have caught up with him. I commented to my brother then that looking looking that a new LW would not be a good idea.

Hollywood makeup does magic though so you never know...
