new speakers that work with speaker wire

all speakers work with speaker cable....unless of course they are wireless speakers.

are you asking if speakers that you buy will work with your current gauge of speaker wire?

I auditioned these at Stereo barn, 100k for the pair!!! Sounded great but not worth the money to buy and then pay for amps. I can't believe they have these in the showroom!

i mean speakers where the wire plugs directly to the speaker. you have to cut and strip the wire and put it in. ones like that not ones where you have a single cable. bare wire hookup

I'm not really sure what you are asking? You want speakers that have the + and - inputs on the back? Are you talking about single phono jacks? Please be more specific.

I think he meant the part of the speaker where it is spring loaded and you would have to push the red or black plastic lever and it exposes the hole for the wire, you stick in the wire, and the plastic thingy, kinda locks it in place.

Unless this cable you are talking about has some type of mini jack on it, well even that is usable, it should work.

I think all speaker cables are the same at the end, at least the affordable kinds, they are just hundreds of strands twisted together. I do believe there are some that are actually a thick solid wire inside.

I think the FIsher-Price kids radio with detachable speakers has those connections.

Seriiously, though. I think only some lower end speaker models have them. Some HTiB's probably do, too.

Can I ask why you are looking for speaker with only those kinds of connections? The 5-way binding posts are much more versatile and probably give you a better overall connection.

If you looking for a replacement part, I know Radio Shack carries those plates.
