Default speaker arrangement

If you had a polk cs2 and t90e's for surrounds would putting paradigm monitor 9's be ok?

Are you talking about as your fronts? If I am reading this right, you want to use the T90e's as surrounds and 9's as fronts? I can tell you that you want your center and fronts to match, so using a cs2 and a paradigm monitor 9 together is probably not a great idea for your front soundstage. However, using the T90e's with the cs2 would be an excellent choice.

Perhaps I am not reading your question correctly?

Yeah i currently have the 90's and the cs2. I want to get ateast 6" speakers for the front end, and saw a pretty good deal on those monitor 9's. I think those are 8's which are like my rear channel is now (polk rt400s) I am just trying to get more "balls" out of my front end.

Well that would certainly be more power. But you really should think of getting a matching Paradigm center if you can, and you could get them timbre-matched properly. Also, you may want to think about a new receiver too then. I am not sure the 605 could handle all the power necessary to properly supply all of those speakers. Wow, T90e's as surrounds....that is pretty serious sound alright!

I am looking at getting an onkyo 806 or 876 and eventually power the front end with an outboard amp.

I would really like to have paradigm monitor 11's and a c390 center..

This damn upgrade bug, is not financially healthy

I forgot to add the amp too. If you can afford it, I would definitely get seperates. Paradigms are gorgeous looking speakers that sound good too.

As far as the upgrade thing, check out my sig below...bought the TV, speakers, subs, lightset and buttkicker this year! Next are seperate for me....maybe next year? And the wife? Well..
