What HD receiver are under $400? - Blu-ray Forum

What are some good hd receiver under $400. Is YAMAHA RX-V465 any good for being low 300?

Onkyo 606, Sony STR-DG920/820...does the new Yamaha 465 do the new codecs? That I don't know.

I bought a refurbed Denon for $304 a while back.

However,... I use a PS3 so I looked for one that would do PCM over HDMI and didn't bother trying to find one that had all the decoders built in. I have my PS3 convert it all to PCM.

Yamaha 565 hands down. the new 607 onkyo is going to be very nice, but will be more expensive. gota give the tip to the Yamaha

First off, can your player decode all the new codecs?

If so, should save you some money. There are some nice HDMI receivers out there for $300 and under.
