I've seen Striking Distance enough times on TV and DVD to know that I don't want it on Blu-ray. It's a good Bruce Willis/Sarah Jessica Parker thriller, but I just don't care for it anymore. Pass.

I agree, and since it's coming the same day as Dr. Strangelove and Ghostbusters it will be easily overlooked by many.

It depends on the price. MUST be under $15. And I already have the DVD.

Ghostbusters and Dr. Strangelove are a must...Striking distance can wait for a very good sale.

I thought SD was okay the first time I saw it. It's pretty typical of the type of movies that came out around that time. I certainly won't be buying it on BD

This is the ONLY time I thought SJP looked halfway decent.

I'll probably get this at some point, as I never got the DVD. As others have said, it can wait for a sale.

I know that this film went through major reshoots to sort out the pacing and ending and I am curious about how the original version turned out.
Saying that I wouldnt buy it, strictly a rental for me.

I've always liked it - have to agree about SJP in this as well. Decent cast with Willis, Sizmore, Pastorelli, Mahoney, Farina. I may be a little biased with my family roots being from Pittsburgh - love to see that city on the big screen.

The city does look great in this movie, that's for sure!

I really like this movie, although nostalgia has a lot to do with it, to be honest!

I would be interested in watching the original version, although I think that might be impossible by now! Some parts of the story do feel incomplete. You never really know what happened to Dennis Farina and Tom Sizemore's characters, and that always bothered me!

I love Striking Distance. I place it with late nite cable classics like Roadhouse.

The story is above average and SJParker is at her cutest years before she went super-glam on Sex In The City. Im a fan of cop flicks that non-investigative or non-plain clothes detective stuff. Police Boat Patrol is a cool spin on the genre.

But after seeing it so many times, the only real draw would be the upgrade in PQ and hopefully some extra features.

Revisted this last night. It's a very Lazy Sunday Afternoon kinda flick. Gave me a Film Noir vibe at times too. Helps that I'm also from Pittsburgh so obviously I loved the setting. Willis is great in it. Story is predictable and the action is so-so but I dug it a lot. Dare I say this one is a bit underrated. I did read that this thing went through some major reshoots and stuff as well. Bruce was intense on set etc. I wonder what the original cut was like. Bonus points for a gratuitous Tom Atkins cameo!
