Can someone please explain why they have stopped release of this film atleast 3 times since they say this was going to get a release in october 2008.

Today I got a final "NOT AVAILABLE" from my preorder.

So what is going on with this. ?

Catalog titles are known to be moved around throughout the year. WB said they plan to release it at some point this year. Maybe this summer but more than likely in the fall.

Ive read at least 2 articles about the fact that the studios often put out polls to see what the demand is like for older movies on BD. There's an article about this somewhere on Cnet that talks about warner and universal both conducting polls and basing decisions on what to transfer based on their findings.

It costs money for them to transfer these movies to BD, in addition to packaging/promotions, etc., and with the economy in the toilet many companies are hesistant to make investments into something that they arent absolutely sure will pay off.

The economy is bad. The studios are afraid to spend the money, and consumers are afraid to buy.

Wish they could come to this site and do a poll here and ask us what do we won't and we could tell them what we want to see on BD.

I really want Gremlins on BD but maybe they are planning on releasing the 1st and 2nd together?

This was due similar time as ghostbusters last year which has now been anounced but havent a clue where gremlins has gone.Gizmos run off with it?

That would be nice. I almost like the second better than the first.

This movie is so terrible...but I love it. It's kind of like Short Circuit for me in that regard. I'd get this on Blu, but I wouldn't spend more than $10 on it.
