Default Muse's HAARP dvd

I may be a bit behind on this, but I came across the Muse HAARP concert at Best Buy for like 12 bucks.

It lit up my sound system, and every one of those thousands of people at the concert were jumping up and down most of the time.

just... wow

Check it out if you have not, and let me know what you think if you have...

I picked up the Limited Edition when it first came out. UH-mazing. Their my favorite band by far and this DVD is a good indication why. I know this was shot on HD cause they aired it in HD on the BBC, any word of a Blu Ray release?

Yayyy another Muse fan!

That show is immense. Did you get the Special Edition or in a normal crystal case?

I was sad to see they never ended up releasing this on Blu-ray like announced. Oh well, the DVD's still very very good. Haven't had the chance to watch it more than once.

I have the normal version - for now

O and yes Muse is up in my top three bands. I love classical music, and they take the classical end of the spectrum + rock & roll + some pretty crazy sinth/electronic to just blow the crap out your speakers. so yeah, I'm a fan.

They had announced it for Blu Ray? Any word on what happened? Was it released on Blu Ray anywhere else? I'd pay some big bucks for that... even though I already have two copies of the DVD

Well the original footage was shot in 1080p so it's HD worthy.

Back in March 2007, Muselive posted news that the BD version was announced and even had a placeholder on Play.com:

I don't know what happened to it. Sadly it came out in the midst HD format war was ending so I guess Warner held back on choosing a format for it until it was clear which would rule and after that happened, I guess they just forgot or dropped it.

Maybe they'll pull a Warner and milk it as much as possible when the new record comes out.

Default maybe

I heard a rumor that the new album is all classical

If it's true, it will be... interesting.

I don't think it's all classical, but I've heard Matt (singer/guitarist/pianist) will the conducting his first orchestral piece for the album, and they are experimenting with some crazy song thats three separate songs that fit all together, and those three songs are heavily classical too. I dunno, I trust whatever they do, they just keep getting better and better.

If you want to have an idea of Matt's immensity which will be showing on the next album, try listening to the last song on "The International" OST.

That song sounds amazing. If that's a taste of things to come it will be entirely different from the previous albums, and a very interesting one as well. HAARP on BD would be nice, but the dvd is really good as well. So I don't mind it too much (yet).

Well that sucks. Let's just hope they'll release it in the build up to the new tour maybe or the album. *prays*

I Just came back from seeing them live in Montreal. Words cannot express how epic that show was. I'm still speechless and the ears are still ringing.
