For the last few years I've been using MediaMonkey and it's an alright program, but I really miss MusicMatch! When Yahoo bought them out and integrated it into their Yahoo!Music program, they really messed it up. I then switched to MediaMonkey, which is think is the best available option for me right now.
What are you using? Which programs have you tried out? Is there a "worst" program out there? I think it's been over 10 years since I last used WinAmp and am wondering if it's still a decent player to install. Opinions anyone? Suggestions too ![]() John |

o man i remember musicmatch. i used to use that back in the day and it was awesome. i've been using itunes for a while even though it's a memory hog and can be pretty buggy at times. CNET ran an article a few months ago detailing several different music players (most free)...i'll try to dig it up for you if you are interested

I use VLC Media Player - it's very simple and light on system resources. |

+1 for VLC, depending on what's being played. I don't use it exclusively, though. I generally use VLC for video.
I usually play music with my iTunes application, because my media is shared from my laptop, which puts it out its music using iTunes. This requires the connected computers to not have the music files on their local hard drives. |

You might like VLC then. It's very non-intensive on memory and cpu, from my experience anyway. Gotta love open source apps!

i feel the same way on all counts. it has nothing to do with hating microsoft, i love XP (and parts of Vista)...but for organizing music, WMP has always failed for me.
